2.6 million USG water tank installation

Fiber Technology Corporation (FTC): Molded FRP / GRP Panel Type Water Tanks (including AWWA D12-121 and NSF-61 with Annex G)

OFFERING TANKS RANGING FROM 260 USG (1 M³) TO 2,500,000 USG (10,000 M³) FOR THE DIRECT AND INDIRECT WATER SUPPLY MARKETS AROUND THE WORLD

Fiber Technology Corporation manufactures GRP water tanks using the SMC-Hot Press Molding process to the highest specification and hygiene standards. The tanks are constructed by assembling FRP / GRP sectional panels in modular and flexible patterns with uncompromising levels of quality and reliability to ensure the preservation of water to the highest standards of purity.

Fiber Technology Corporation Management System is certified ISO 9001 Water Tank Manufacturers for design and manufacturing of FRP / GRP tanks which in turn comply to most international standards and are tested and approved globally by the world’s premier certification organizations which include NSF 61 (USA), WRAS (UK), and AS /NZ 4020 (Australia and New Zealand). We are also proud members of numerous organizations around the world; some of which are listed below:

  • AWWA D12-121

  • ISO 9001

  • IWA

  • NFPA

  • USGBC

  • WaterReuse Foundation

  • NRWA

  • NSF/ANSI 61 & 372

  • ACMA

BENEFITS OVERVIEW:

Flexible design and modular assembly: FTC FRP / GRP panel tanks can be assembled and fitted as per site requirements with different shapes to make full use of the available space. FTC FRP / GRP tanks can also be partitioned or have baffles inside in order to have separate operating compartments.Tanks length and width can vary from 1m (3ft) up to 50m (164ft) long and the height from 1m (3ft) to 4m (13ft) with the possibility to reach 8m (26ft) high on special request.

Strength and reliability: Whereas steel tanks are prone to corrosion, GRP tanks and sectional water tanks do not corrode.

Watertight: The convex shape of the base panels transmits water pressure to the panel joints which increases the sealing pressure. The joints are further sealed with a flexible rubber SEBS sealant that is UV resistant and ribbed in 4 locations for added protection.

Complete drainage: Convex bottom panels and a concave drain panel enable a free flow of water from all parts of the tank to drain, with no possibility for water to accumulate and become stale or contaminated.

Keeping the water clean: high opacity means no lights enters the tank, and the perfect mirror finish prevents organic matter from adhering to panels.

Low cost shipping and easy site installation:

FTC FRP / GRP tanks can be palletized and shipped using 1/10th of the tank size, regardless of the size and shape of the final configuration.

Whether your FRP tank needs to be installed on a roof, or in a basement, even with a small and narrow passageways or otherwise inaccessible areas, our tank components can be easily transported.

No special tools are required for assembling our GRP tanks. A simple step by step installation video and manual can be provided for ease of installation. There is no need for cutting or welding on site and all material shipped are used in the installation, leaving behind a clean and safe site with zero wastage.

Thermal insulation: 1” or 2” insulated panel options are especially useful for extreme weather conditions to help save energy required for heating or chilling water. It is also ideal for industrial purposes where constant cold or hot water is required continuously.

Environmentally friendly: The design life of FTC FRP / GRP tanks exceeds 40 years. Panels are easily reusable and most of their parts easily recyclable, such as for filler in concrete.

Moveable and expandable: Unlike concrete and steel tanks, FTC FRP / GRP tanks can be relocated to a different site even after years of usage. Additionally, they can be extended by adding more panels in the future when more capacity is required.
